I’ve been doing my
usual January hibernating.
It has become
my way of slowly opening up the new year and refreshing myself a bit.
But after a while, the
calls start coming in. New and old
clients feeling the need to start a project; and I truly welcome their nudge! With each call, a small bulb of ideas gets
planted and begins to bloom.
So I thought I’d share
a tiny 2013 idea before I get into full 2014 cultivation mode!
One of my favorite
things…
these paper white bulbs, planted in late November for Christmas
blooming.
On a whim I decided to use
these tiny condiment pots I found at Tuesday Morning. Not quite knowing what would happen or how I
would use them; they became the perfect place card holders for our Christmas
Eve Pajama Breakfast!!! A new tradition
we hope to take root…no pun intended.
And look, it’s January
23rd and they are still growing, some just budding, some
slowly working on it. I’m amazed at these
tiny bulbs and their determination to bloom!
I am so
glad that you have come.
I will
pour out everything inside me so that you may leave
this table
satisfied and fortified.
Blessings
on your eyes.
Blessings
on your children.
Blessings
on the ground beneath you.
My heart
is a ladle of sweet water, brimming over.

Instead of a New Year’s
Resolution, I am choosing a scripture to guide my year. It is one that so strongly speaks to my weak spirit;
I cannot even begin to explain!
“Don’t
just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly
to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in
honoring each other.”
Romans 12:9-10 (NLT)
Gracefully thankful
that God is patient with slow growth! B
